Paula Paciorek is the Director of Water Conservation at the Galveston Bay Foundation whose mission is to preserve and enhance Galveston Bay as a healthy and productive place for generations to come. Through the Texas Living Waters Project, Paula works to increase public awareness of the importance of freshwater inflows to the health of Galveston Bay. By building the support of Houston-Galveston area citizens, organizations, businesses, and local governments the organization works to support and employ water conservation efforts as a means to help ensure sufficient freshwater flows reach the Bay. Paula’s discussion will include Fort Bend County’s water issues and what it means for Galveston Bay, the need to conserve water after Hurricane Harvey, and the Galveston Bay Water Brigade.
