Health & 401(k) Benefits. Any company is only as successful as its ability to attract a viable workforce. One important way to recruit and retain a strong team is to offer robust benefit packages to employees, benefits that can commonly come at a premium and with burdensome administration. The three programs outlined below are now available to Fort Bend Chamber members.

Through your Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, programs such as 401(k) retirement plans that may have been cost-prohibitive or high maintenance in the past are now available to chamber members in an affordable and managed program. The Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce its partnership with the Association For Entrepreneurship USA (AFEUSA). AFEUSA promotes entrepreneurship (and the gig economy) through education, community involvement, and peer collaboration. AFEUSA uses their purchasing power of tens of thousands of members nationwide to negotiate incredible rates and deals and brings incredible savings and benefits to you. Newcomer Guide & Business Resource. The complimentary Fort Bend Newcomer Guide & Business Directory contains a useful membership directory and also provides valuable information on Fort Bend County and is distributed to all chamber members, as well as, to newcomers and out-of-town inquirers.

Startup Guide. Our free Business Startup Guide outlines the fundamentals of starting and running a business in Fort Bend County including useful legal, governmental and financial information and resources. Advertising opportunities are available for members.

Meeting Rooms. Members may use the Chamber's board room and main meeting room in our historic building for business meetings, seminars, conferences, luncheons, or receptions at a low cost.  Our state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment is included in the rental fee.  Cocktail tables, linens, ice, soft drinks, and water are available for an additional fee. The meeting spaces can accommodate up to 100 people.

CONNECTIONS

Lunches and Breakfasts. The Chamber hosts monthly presentations from local business leaders and government officials who address a wide variety of important issues and topics. Our events also provide time for networking with other members and business executives.                                                     

Referral Services. The Chamber attracts inquiries from potential customers seeking products and services from our members.  Actionable sales leads are generated by these daily requests and referred exclusively to Chamber members.

Community Forums & Workshops. Every year, the Chamber hosts numerous expos, workshops, and panel discussions covering a range of topics.  These well attended events include vital information such as the State of the County to our Infrastructure Summit presented by our city and county officials; to the Healthcare and Education updates by local officials and workshops to improve the human capital, marketing or financial health of our local businesses.

Website. All members receive an enhanced listing on the Fort Bend directory located on our website.

E-Newsletter. The Chamber newsletter is e-mailed to over 5,700 area businesses weekly. It provides information on chamber activities, community issues and topics of interest to the business sector. Advertising opportunities are available.

Ribbon Cuttings. The Chamber provides ribbon cutting services to our members for grand openings, new locations, expansions or a ground-breaking.  Ribbon cutting ceremonies are a vital advertising and marketing strategy for any new business, and an important step in developing an effective PR campaign. This unique event will make a lasting positive impression on employees and the local community.

Board of Directors. The Chamber invites select member within our organization who have demonstrated a significant commitment to our mission to take a more active role by serving on our Board of Directors or as Chair of one of our robust divisions.  Our Business and Professional, Community Resources, Education, Governmental Relations, Healthcare, and Infrastructure divisions provide opportunities to take a lead role in informing our community about projects and initiatives that are vital to the growth and success in Fort Bend County.

Partners. Our Chamber Partners are an integral part of our team who serve as ambassadors at our events, and mentors who are the first to officially greet and guide new members. Select members who have taken an active role in supporting the Chamber’s mission, initiatives and events are invited to join the Chamber Partners committee.
