Dear Friends,
As you know, the updates regarding COVID-19 are rapidly and constantly evolving. As a valued member, we want you to know that your chamber is here to offer support and assistance. In person events have been temporarily suspended and we are scheduling online webinars that bring you valuable information for your organization. Our office is open Monday – Friday from 11:30 – 2 pm to accept PPE donations of unopened gloves, masks and other vital medical supplies. These supplies will be donated to AccessHealth. Our team is working safely at home to continue to serve our mission as the advocate for excellence in Fort Bend County and beyond. Your e-mails and phone calls will be returned promptly.
Our role is to support our business community and inasmuch, we will be focusing first on the most vulnerable; our restaurants and retail establishments. Follow us on Facebook and LinkedIn to find out how you can support these businesses who have been hardest hit.
Additionally, we are here to assist our members as well as the Fort Bend community. We are monitoring the updates coming from the CDC, our County, the Small Business Association (SBA) and the U.S. Chamber so we can immediately bring you information to support our local businesses.

As we continue to serve as a resource and support our business industry during this difficult time. Consider supporting our local Fort Bend County businesses in the coming weeks by:
- Using our restaurant and catering guide for pick- up and delivery:
- Buying gift cards now and using them later.
- Buying items now for future pickup
- Order online from our local retailers
- Ask your local business owners how you can help them during this time.
On a personal note, please know that we are thinking about you daily and ways we can help. You are not alone; we are in this together. We’ve been through hard things before; we will get through this. We are amazing, resilient, and creative. When humankind has been on its back leg, it always figures out a way forward. Although news and information changes constantly, we don’t have to track all of it, all the time. To ease your mind, set limits on your media consumption and consider checking reliable news sources no more than five times per day. Let’s work together to keep our fellow neighbors safe as we move through to the other side of this. Your Fort Bend Chamber will continue to support, advocate, educate and engage.
Always remember, we are Fort Bend Strong,
Keri Schmidt
